Smartphones today:
New figures have revealed that the android phones of today’s generation
are in fact becoming more popular than the iPhones of today. This, it is
claimed, is mainly because some of the models on the market are in fact
boasting not only to be faster and slimmer than your average iPhone, but
more powerful.
This is the same for other handsets on the market that have to watch
their backs because of the all-new hoard of smartphones.
Nokia is one such brand that is feeling the force of its competitors and
even though it is still leading the race in the current market, it is
being closely followed by the new age of smartphones and the new era of
android software.
The growth of the all-new Android phone has seen a massive increase this
year. With brands such as HTC, Motorola, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG
running the latest edition of Google mobile OS, it’s no wonder that some
of the other models are being left behind.
However Nokia is still putting up a fight and still remains ahead of the
above handsets. This year alone they sold a record 23.8 million
smartphone handsets and in the 2nd quarter of the previous year, they
took a 38% market share in the mobile sector.
However, another brand that has shot up in the mobile charts is the
Blackberry, due to the release of both the Bold and the Curve as well as
the all-new touch screen Blackberry smartphone, the Blackberry Torch.
The Blackberry Torch has certainly upped its status with the
introduction of this particular handset, which houses both a full QWERTY
keyboard as well as a full touch screen display, which is great news for
those that want best of both worlds!
